General Assembly 2025: Great Opportunities Between Czechia and Israel

The Israel–Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCCI) continues to serve as a vital bridge between Czech and Israeli business communities. At the 2025 ICCCI General Assembly, Board Members reaffirmed the strength of the Czech – Israel partnership and highlighted exciting prospects for future cooperation — especially in trade, security, and innovation.

The event was generously hosted by ICCCI Board Member Mr. Nimrod Yaron, CPA, LL.B at his beautiful offices on the 33rd floor in Ramat Gan, overlooking Tel Aviv’s skyline.

ICCCI Chairman Mr. David A. Hercky opened the Assembly with a warm welcome to H.E. Veronika Kuchynová Šmigolová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Israel. Her Excellency offered thoughtful insights into the current political landscape in Europe and the Czech Republic, and reaffirmed her country’s unwavering support for Israel, especially during challenging times.

Mr. Branislav Gál, Representative of the NATO Contact Point Embassy in Israel, addressed ongoing Czech–Israeli security cooperation, emphasizing the shared values and strategic goals of both nations.

Meanwhile, Ms. Moran Sittin, Managing Director of Škoda Israel, confirmed that Czech exports remain highly regarded — with Škoda continuing as the best-selling European car brand in Israel.

A Moment of Appreciation

A special highlight of the evening was a heartfelt gesture from H.E. Veronika Kuchynová Šmigolová to ICCCI President Mr. Eli Fischer. She presented him with a beautiful artwork of Czech national monuments — a token of appreciation for his long-standing contribution to Czech–Israeli relations and economic ties.

Despite the geopolitical and economic uncertainties of today, the Czech Republic remains one of Israel’s most reliable allies in Europe. As regional stability gradually returns, ICCCI anticipates renewed momentum in business, innovation, and cultural collaboration between the two nations.
