In mid-May 2026, representatives of the Israel-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman David Hercky and CEO assaf Dovrat, actively participated with its partners the Export Institute Israel and Israel Embassy in Prague in a historic official mission to the Czech Republic. The high-level Israeli delegation was led by Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Sa’ar, who was warmly welcomed in Prague by his Czech counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Petr Macinka.
A central pillar of the diplomatic visit was the Czech-Israeli Business Forum, marking the largest economic event hosted by both foreign ministers during their respective times in office. The forum brought together a record-breaking delegation of over 50 Israeli business leaders, healthcare institutions, and defense sector innovators to meet with approximately 150 Czech companies and partners.
Throughout the forum, participants engaged in matchmaking sessions, exploring strategic synergies between Israeli cutting-edge innovation—particularly in defense, cybersecurity, and digital health—and Czech industrial excellence.
Reflecting our commitment to long-term strategic growth, our Chamber proudly expanded its network of collaboration during the mission. New memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and partnership agreements were signed with key Czech counterparts at both governmental and non-governmental levels, paving the way for deeper technological and commercial integration.
During the joint press conference, the ministers highlighted a shared goal to double the current $1.4 billion bilateral trade volume by 2030, with Minister Macinka firmly reaffirming the Czech Republic’s unwavering support for Israel within the European Union and its opposition to trade restrictions.
