2021 - Czechs show solidarity with Israel

21. May, 2021 Prague Castle, the seat of the Czech President, flew an Israeli flag to show solidarity and support to Israel, which was under rocket attacks of Hamas. Later the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Jakub Kulhanek (ČSSD) arrived in Tel Aviv for a one-day visit, during which he met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “The purpose of the trip is to express our uncompromising support for Israel, which has the full right to protect its citizens,” said Kulhanek. He and his Slovak counterpart Ivan Korcok inspected buildings damaged by a Palestinian rocket in the city of Petach Tikva. Later, they had the opportunity to see a pillar of Israel’s Iron Dome air defence system, which can neutralise about 90% of rockets before they hit.
