Czechs take inspiration from Israeli telemedicine

Integration of new technologies in the field of telemedicine, their development and possibilities of their use in Czechia were one of the mission’s goals led by Mr. Ivo Vondrak, Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the middle of May. ICCCI is glad to assist with the mission organised by its Czech partner chamber, CISOK.  The main goal was to learn how telemedicine tools are integrated into healthcare provision in Israel, to have the opportunity to speak with medical doctors using telemedicine solutions and to see developed and tested telemedicine solutions, which could be used in the Moravian-Silesion Region.

The Moravian-Silesian Region is a higher-level territorial self-governing unit of the Czech Republic, which is governed by an elected regional council. It is a highly industrialized region with 1,2 million inhabitants. Its capital Ostrava was actually called the “Steel Heart of the Republic”.  The Moravian-Silesian Region is currently developing its strategy how to integrate telemedicine solutions to provide better healthcare services to its inhabitants.
